Autism in our own words: Stories from the Spectrum

For most parents, facing the diagnosis of a child with autism can seem overwhelming. Parents often leave the doctor’s office shouldering a deep sense of disempowerment, not sure where to turn for help. An overabundance of (often contradictory) information about the condition can lead to confusion, while a distinct lack of access to therapy resources leaves them frustrated.

Stories from the Spectrum is a space where we can share some of our joys and frustrations. With regular contributions from five prominent Victorian bloggers, we aim to share some of the emotional and family experiences of life with autism and help support those families who share our journeys.
